Congratulations to all of you and Good Luck!!

Community Service Award Recipient is Sarah Stanley

Sarah Stanley is the recipient of the 2008 Jacqueline B. Nixon Community Service Award for her many years of “Giving Back to the Community”. Frank E. Winkler, Manager, Economic Development for Groton Utilities, presented the award to Stanley at the annual City of Groton Day celebration on August 1.  Stanley has volunteered endless hours at Fairview (The Odd Fellows Home). She has been described as a person whose selflessness appears to have no bounds. She has given so much of herself throughout the years and asked nothing in return. As Stanley told one staffer, “”It’s not about what I can get from them, it’s about what they can get from me.”

Sister Edie Kalin was honored at Fairview for her dedication and service.
